SEELEY — The County of Imperial held a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate improvements made at the Seeley Community Park Playground on May 13.
Improvements to the park included; the installation of a playground structure, 2 ADA parking spaces, concrete sidewalks and ramps, perimeter fencing, and 2 shade structures each with a concrete picnic table and trash cans. Additionally, Imperial County Planning and Development Services, through the Parks and Recreation Division, installed landscaping.
The County was awarded $125,650 from the California Department of Housing and Community Development, Division of Housing Policy Development, through its Housing-Related Parks (HRP) Program. The County of Imperial contributed and additional $61,801 for a total project cost of $187,571.
