Seaport Airlines to Cease Flying to Imperial Valley effective immediately

Announcement regarding the discontinuation of service in CA, KS, MO and Mexico:

We regret to announce that effective 1/15/16, scheduled air service in California and Mexico have been discontinued, and effective 1/17/16 service to Kansas and Missouri will be discontinued. Due to the current pilot shortage and its toll on our ability to do business, SeaPort is restructuring our route network. Customers with reservations for impacted routes should please contact 888-573-2767 for a full refund.

Closures are effective immediately at the following cities for all scheduled service:

Sacramento, CA
Visalia, CA
Burbank, CA
San Diego, CA
Imperial, CA
San Felipe, BC (Mexico)
Salina, KS
Great Bend, KS
Kansas City, MO

Service in the Pacific Northwest, Arkansas, Tennessee and Texas will continue to operate normally, as scheduled and without disruption. Customers can be assured that they will continue to recieve the quality customer service they have come to expect from SeaPort Airlines on these routes.

Notice regarding carriage of e-cigerettes in checked luggage:

The USDOT prohibits passengers and crewmembers from carrying battery-powered portable electronic smoking devices in checked baggage. Charging devices and/or batteries on board the aircraft is also prohibited. E-cigerettes may be carried on your person or in your carry-on luggage, but may not be used on aircraft.

Regarding air travel in states where recreational marijuana use has been legalized:

Please be aware that SeaPort Airlines operates under federal aviation regulations; carriage of marijuana on board the aircraft is prohibited under federal aviation regulations in all states. For questions regarding this policy please call 888-573-2767.

  1. That’s really sad. Seaport was a viable option to San Diego and Burbank. I have flown with them many times. I really hope we will get someone to come in and stay. Even when United flew to LAX it was an option to driving over 2 hours to an airport.

  2. Gosh I really like flying to SD to catch our flights. Not good at all……It saved so much time to fly out of here….
