CALEXICO – San Diego State University will be holding their Annual â€œTasteâ€ to benefit student scholarships.Â This once a year opportunity raises much-needed funds, providing support for higher education in our Valley.
This year, the Taste of Mystery will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2016.Â The theme is Speakeasy, 1920â€™s Prohibition Era at the Imperial Center in Heber.Â Sponsorships and individual tickets are available.
As you step onto the Red Carpet, you are transported to an Era of long ago, entering the Roaring 20â€™s â€“ Kevin Kelly will be tickling on the keyboard while Gloria Brister belts out the melodies of Billy Holiday. The theater group – Murder Mystery Co. will perform a â€œWho Dun Itâ€ during a formal, sit down dinner â€“ you are the detectives and participate in finding the culprit.
Quiet timeâ€¦Vintage movies are rolling in the Oswalt CPA Olâ€™ Theater.Â Take a Mug Shot Photo, by Borderlife in sepia tone or a gangster selfie. Dress to have fun and a â€œRoaring Good Time!â€Â Specialty antique items will be available.
