Rauna Fox Appointed San Pasqual District Superintendent

WINTERHAVEN—The San Pasqual Valley Unified School District School Board and staff would like to express their sincere gratitude to all of the students, parents, community members, and school districts in Yuma and Imperial Counties for the support and generosity during the tragic loss of our Superintendent, Dr. David E. Bealer. Dr. Bealer was a kind and thoughtful leader and will be greatly missed. “David Bealer was an exceptional man and educational leader,” said Dr. Todd Finnell, County Superintendent of Schools. “He made significant contributions to SPVUSD and our greater educational community, and always did so with a gentle and caring heart.”

To continue in his legacy, the San Pasqual Valley Unified School Board has appointed Ms. Rauna Fox as the next District Superintendent. Ms. Fox comes to San Pasqual with 25 years of teaching and administrative experience. Most recently, she served as the Director of Educational Services for the El Centro Elementary School District. Ms. Fox returns to San Pasqual where she served the students and community for six years as a middle school teacher, Assistant Principal, and Principal. “Rauna has proven herself to be a strong instructional leader over the years. I’m excited for her and the San Pasqual community to see her in this new role,” said Dr. Finnell.

Ms. Fox is also excited as she returns to San Pasqual Valley Unified School District as the next Superintendent. “I’m thrilled to have this opportunity to work with the students, teachers, staff, parents and community in support of our schools.”
