Panno Road nears completion

BRAWLEY – Panno Road between Willard and Highway 86 is nearing completion.

The developers of Florentine Estates are doing the work as part of their commitment to the completion of the project. Florentine is the only gated community in Brawley.

“The completion of Panno Road will help relieve the congestion in that area,” said Brawley City Council member Sam Couchman. “As the area is currently being developed in front of Wal-Mart, traffic will flow more smoothly and the residents will get some relief, especially on Julia Drive. This will also encourage further development in that area.”

Residents on Julia Drive have voiced their concerns in the past because of the high traffic on their street.

The contractors have about a week’s worth of work to do final finishing touches on the street. When the work is finally done, CalTrans will make the final inspection.

Panno Road should be open within the next two weeks.
