EL CENTRO – The Board of Supervisors approved and accepted the construction for the Palo Verde Park restrooms and sun shades. The grant from the California Department of Housing was for $120,000, with another $13,000 of in-kind services from the Imperial County Planning Department which included environmental reports, bid documents, and demolition.
Trade Mark Construction won the bid and built for the county a new restroom facility that included two stalls in the women’s section, one urinal in the men’s section, and one accessible stall in each section. The restoration also included a storage room, paved parking spaces, and two sun shades at the park.
Final inspection was June 26, 2013.
