Pair Suspected of Serial Robberies in Calexico



CALEXICO – On August 15, Calexico police officers responded to three reported assaults and robberies in different locations between the hours of 7:36 and 7:44 p.m. The first alleged assault occurred on Frontera and Harrington streets, the second on Sapphire and Hashem, and the third on Seventh and Blair streets where the unknown suspect allegedly used a screwdriver to rob, severely beat and injure a victim talking on her cell phone.

Information gathered from the three different calls gave descriptions of a 17-to-30-year-old male, approximately 5’8” to 5’10” tall with weight between 150-180 pounds, while the second suspect was seen driving a faded red 2000-2002 year two-door Honda Coupe, Celica or Sentra with black rims, black bumper and black tinted windows. In all three incidents, the same suspect was seen entering the same type of vehicle and fleeing the scenes.

All three incidents are currently under investigation.
