BRAWLEY — One World Beef (OWB) Packers’ employees have organized an in-house toy drive for a deserving charities. Items donated included toys, clothing, toiletries, and cash.
The donations will be delivered to the Betty Jo McNeece Receiving Home and CASA, the Court Appointed Special Needs Advocates for Children before Christmas. A total of 350 children up to the age of 12 will benefit from the donations.
OWB currently has over 150 employees.
OWB staff Robyn Edgar and Darla Schmidt prepared a Christmas tree in the cafeteria for employees to place their donations. Edgar headed the toy drive.
“We are a family here at OWB with all of our employees and we thought we’d get everyone involved,” said Edgar. “I am in total shock at the outpouring of generosity of everyone here at OWB. There are over 400 foster kids in the Imperial Valley and we hope this helps brighten some Christmases.”
