Manuel G. Serrano

December 26, 1924 – September 27,

 

Manuel G. Serrano was born on December 26, 1924 in Bisbee, Arizona. He worked in Zinsco/Sylvania in downtown Los Angeles, California for 27 years as a punch press leadman and retired in 1986.  Manuel married his wife, Maria, on October 10, 1985, in Kansas. Manuel was a resident of Imperial, California for 26 years, from September 12, 1990 to September 27, 2016.  On September 27th, 2016, Manuel G. Serrano was welcomed into eternity in the loving arms of his Heavenly Father.  He passed from natural causes at Imperial Heights Rehabilitation Center in Brawley.

 

A Mass will be held for Manuel on Saturday, October 8, at St. Anthony’s Church in Imperial at 10:00 a.m. with Father Alex Aquino officiating. Visitation will be Friday, October 7, at Frye Chapel and Mortuary in El Centro from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. with the Rosary the same evening at 7:00 p.m.

 

Manuel G Serrano is preceded in death by his father, Edwardo Serrano and mother, Loretta Grijalva, also his brothers, Ralph and Raymund Serrano, and his sister, Angelina Serrano.

 

Manuel is survived by his wife, Maria Serrano, his sons, Robert, Raymond, and daughters, Yolanda Moreno, Sandra Pacheco, and Yadira Barrera. He also leaves behind 17 grandchildren, (7 girls, 10 boys), 17 great-granddaughters, 13 great-grandsons, 2 great-great grandsons, and 1 great -great granddaughter.
