IMPERIAL COUNTY – The Imperial County Area Agency on Aging (ICAAA) is seeking proposals to establish, expand, or enhance social services to Imperial County residents, ages 60 and older. Public, private nonprofit, and private-for-profit organizations are eligible to apply. A total of $856,925 (Tentative amounts pending state allocation) is available for Fiscal Year 2016-2017.
Request for qualification may be obtained at the Imperial County Purchasing Department, 1125 Main Street, El Centro, CA 92243, 442-265-1866, beginning April 4, 2016. Applications are due no later than 2:00 p.m., Monday, April 18, 2016.
The Imperial County Area Agency on Aging announces the following service categories will be funded under Title IIIB, IIIC1, IIIC2 and IIIE of the Older American’s Act; with tentative amounts pending state allocation: Transportation $23,247, Legal Assistance Service (Seniors) $43,864, Family Caregiver Service Program (FCSP) Legal Service $16,059, Senior Health Service $16,208, Respite Service $13,648,Registered Dietitian $15,047, and Family Caregiver Service Program (FCSP) Respite $60,408.
Please note: The funding of categories in these amounts is subject to:
- Change according to funding available from the Older Americans’ Act and Older Californians’ Act final funding allocations for Fiscal Year 2016-2017; and
- Review and approval by the full Imperial County Area Agency on Aging Council, and approval by the Imperial County Board of Supervisors.
