NAF Air Show-062

EL CENTRO — The Naval Air Facility hosted the 2015 Air Show, Saturday, for military and civilian members of the Imperial Valley offering something for everyone, and culminating with a breath-taking performance by the Blue Angels’ team.

The Valley is the proud winter home of the Blue Angels’ team, housing and providing the elite pilots with  ideal flying weather, beginning in January and ending the weekend of the Air Show.

The show, not only marked the beginning of the Blue Angel performance season, but provided entertainment for everyone with plenty of food and drinks, a kid zone, a classic car show, live music, performances by Metal Mulisha, as well as many other acrobatic planes and two jump teams showing off their aeronautic skills.

“This open house is one small way we have of saying ‘thank you’ for your constant support of the base and our personnel. We are privileged to have called El Centro and the Imperial Valley home for over 70 years and we look forward to being here for a long time,” said NAF El Centro Commanding Officer CAPT William C. Doster of the United States Navy.
