Mary Butler (Estrada), was born in Tucson, Arizona in 1919, to Bartolo and Rita Estrada.

In her early age she and her family moved to Calipatria, where she grew up helping her Mom with her younger siblings.  She graduated from high school and later owned an ice cream shop, where she met William, the love of her life, as he was delivering ice to her business. They were blessed to have been married for 70 years.  Mary decided to go to work after her daughters were in school. She worked as a nurse’s aide at Pioneers Memorial Hospital newborn nursery until she retired after working there for 20 years.  She retired to help take care of her 5 grandchildren until they were old enough for school.  Mary and William always enjoyed sharing all of their vacation times traveling, camping and fishing with their children and grandchildren.  Their families were always #1 to both of them.  Mom (Nana) was so loved and cherished by her family.
