IMPERIAL – The City of Imperial held their final Market Days at Eager Park, Saturday afternoon. Booths wrapped around the park on all sides to sell and showcase their goods for the last Market Day’s event of the season.
The Sun Runners Car Club displayed their prized possessions on the park’s lawn and held raffles for prizes. The club drew raffle tickets every half hour delighting the car enthusiasts that gravitated to the autos of bygone eras.
Vendors sold arts and crafts, jewelry, clothing, and food on all sides of the park. For the kids, a small train ride was provided by the Family Treehouse, obviously popular by the constant long line for tickets.
“We all come out every market day, it’s fun for the whole family,” said Rebecca Logins about why she brought her family to the Imperial Market Days.
There was some confusion on what time the Farmer’s Market was to begin, some guest believed it was to start at 4:00 p.m.
“I’m so glad I drove by, otherwise I would have missed it. I read a flyer that it was going to start at 4 today,” said Mike Garcia as he waited in line to buy a Sun Runners Car Club raffle ticket.
This season’s Market Days started October 20 and the popular event will resume again in the fall.
