Maria Soto Hirales

Visitation services for Maria Soto Hirales will be held on Monday, July 11, from 6-9:00 P.M. at Fry Chapel and Mortuary in Brawley with a Rosary prayer at 7:00 P.M. Mass services will be held on Tuesday, July 12, at 10:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church followed by burial services at the Riverview Cemetery.
Maria Soto Hirales was born on August 2, 1961 in Mexicali, B.C., Mexico, and resided in Brawley when he passed away on June 24, 2016 due to natural causes.
She worked for 10 years at I.V. Lumber and 20 plus years at CDCR Cal State Prison.
Maria was a loving, caring and fun person to be with. She loved to be around family, especially her grandson Philly. She made delicious “pozole,” handmade tortillas and many other savoring dishes that she learned to prepare from her mother. She enjoyed “oldies” music, strolling down memory lane and enjoying the simple things in life. She was always willing to help others in anything she could. Maria had a creative side, and liked to craft and personalize her gifts. She enjoyed trips to the casino and weekend getaways with family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents Augustine D. Soto and Socorro L. Soto.
Maria is survived by his husband Francisco J. Hirales, daughter Viviana M. Hirales, son Miguel A. Hirales, brothers Gregory (Lupe) Soto, Augustine Soto and Joe Soto, sisters Aurelia S. Peraza (Rudy) and Vicky (Gabriel) Hernandez, grandson Felipe “Philly” Zamudio, 20 nieces and nephews, 19 grand-nieces and nephews and 1 great grand-niece.
