MariaPerez was born on July 17, 1933 in Michoacan, Mexico and resided in Calipatria when she passed away on October6, 2014 in Pioneers Memorial Hospital due to complications with Alzheimers.

Poli was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, who loved spending time with her family and friends.  She was loved by many for her caring heart, always willing to help and guide those around her.  One of her many talents included her “home cooked” meals that brought together families from far away.  Poli loved caring for her household, not out of duty, but with complete love.

Moms home was always inviting to family and friends, leaving behind many cherished memories.  Poli was married to Salvador R. Perez for over 57 years.  They shared five children and nine grandchildren.  She enjoyed visits from family and friends as well as family outing to the Cortez Family Ranch.  She also enjoyed getaways with the family to San Diego, Ensenada, Blythe, Stockton, to name a few.

Poli regularly attended Saint Patrick Church in Calipatria, CA. Her deep rooted faith beliefs were instilled by her mother Eloise and shared with her children.  Poli was diagnosed with Alzheimers in her late 50’s.  As the illness progressed and she continued her battle, she eventually required total nursing care assistance.  The family was blessed to have the help of the nursing staff at Imperial Heights who cared and loved her for 11 years.  Poli was loved by many for her heart of gold and genuine smile.  She will be dearly missed.
