BRAWLEY — The beautiful autumn Imperial Valley weather was the perfect backdrop for new fall color to be planted along the Main Street corridor as the M & M 4-H Club of Brawley planted flowers in downtown Plaza Park Saturday.
A large group of M & M 4-H kids and volunteers planted a mix of petunias in the recently cultivated flower beds.
“We have done this for about 20 years,” said Karen Constable, M & M 4-H leader. “We brought the kids here to Plaza Park and planted in front of the city council chambers, in front of the Veteran’s Wall, and across the street at the cross walk. It went very quickly today, because we have so many kids helping. This is one of their community projects.”
