Luis J. Lima
March 27, 1951 – March 7, 2015
Luis Lima, 63 of Brawley passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Saturday, March 7, 2015. He was born on March 27, 1951 in Brawley, Ca. On November 14, 1970 he married Rachel Fernandez. Luis worked for Cooks Market, Sacred Heart School and worked for 20 years for Holly Sugar Inc. He also served our country as a Vietnam Veteran.
Some of his hobbies were collecting coins, cooking for the family, playing horseshoes and listening to his oldies but goodies. Luis was a diehard St. Louis Rams fan. He enjoyed being surrounded by his loved ones. He will be sorely missed and fondly remembered by everyone who had the honor to cross paths with him.
The Mass Service for Luis was on Friday, March 20, 2015 at St. Margaret Mary Church at 8:30 p.m.
The Visitation was on Thursday, March 19, 2015 at Frye Chapel and Mortuary from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
The Burial was held on Friday, March 20, 2015 at Riverview Cemetery after the Mass service.
The Rosary was on Thursday, March 19, 2015 at Frye Chapel and Mortuary at 7:00 p.m.
Luis is preceded in death by his father, Luis Lima, his mother Teresa Lima, his brother, Manuel Lima, and his son, Jesse Lima.
Luis is survived by his wife, Rachel Lima of Brawley, his daughters, Laura Lime and Corrine Lima of Brawley, and Donna Lima of Winton, CA. He is also survived by his brothers, Carlos and Joe Lima of Brawley, his sisters, Mary-dee Rivera of Gilroy, Patricia Lima of Brawley, 12 grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
