BRAWLEY — Cowboy boots shined the floor at the legendary Salon Hidalgo as hundreds danced the night away to the sounds of Los Tiranos Del Norte on Saturday, March 28th.
Los Tiranos Del Norte, a band born in 1986 in Mexicali, began its adventure by playing at weddings, quinciañeras, private events and funerals. Shortly after, Los Tiranos Del Norte became one of the most recognized groups with hit songs such as “Hermosa Tirana,” “Hasta La Miel Amarga,” “Crei” and “Extraña Manera.”
“There are a lot of us Mexican people in the Valley that would like a stable place to go and enjoy hearing, dancing, and why not, maybe even singing to Mexican music without having to cross the border. I am glad that events such as this one are being organized,” said Maria Arvizu from Calexico.
“I can’t wait to take pictures with them,” said 17 year-old Jackie Nogera from Imperial. “I grew up hearing their music and I simply love it,” said Nogera.
Eric Reyes, Tony Obezo and Frank Paleo were responsible for producing the memorable night. “We are glad to organize and bring these events to the Valley. This isn’t the first, nor will it be the last. We have other artists lined up and we know they will be successful, too,” said Tony Obezo.
With loud applause, whistling and some screaming, the group energized the 400 guests attending.
