Linda Felix-Olivera passed away peacefully on May 9, 2015 at the age of 66, after a brief illness. She was born in Salinas, California on May 29, 1948 and lived most of her life in either Brawley or Los Angeles. She began her career in nursing, raised 5 children, and later became a caregiver to the elderly. In her spare time she enjoyed making assorted crafts, and being a grandmother. She will be missed.
The Chapel Service for Linda will be held on Friday, May 22, 2015 at Frye Chapel and Mortuary in Brawley at 9:00 a.m.
Visitation will be on Thursday, May 21, 2015 at Frye Chapel and Mortuary in Brawley from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Preceded in death by: She was preceded in death by her father George Felix and her 2 brothers George Felix Jr. and Gilbert Felix.
Survivors Include: She is survived by her mother, Jessie Ruiz of Brawley; brothers Terry (Grace) Felix of Ontario, and Arthur (Marcie) Olivas of Missouri; sisters Evy (Joe) Olivas-Garcia of Brawley, and Nancy (Mario) Olivas-Cardenas of Fontana; 5 children Cindy (Michael) Ortiz-Fukumoto of Los Angeles, George Lopez of Texas, Melinda (Ivan) Olivera-Guitron of San Bernardino, Christina Olivera of San Bernardino, and Jessica Olivera of Hemet; 18 grandchildren Jennifer, Taylor, Rachael, Tianna, Samantha, Andrew, Alyssa, Brianna, Lindo Jr., Fabian, Isaiah, Joel, Reynaldo, Reylean, Jasmine, David, Julian, and Adam; 2 great-grandchildren Akira and Amaya; goddaughter Valerie Cajigas-Kastner of Brawley; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
