BRAWLEY – The Brawley Wildcat Boys Basketball team was back in action at home on Tuesday night after a month of road games as they took on the Kofa Kings of Yuma.
Teams exchanged baskets early but by the end of the second quarter, Kofa kept a step ahead in pace and at halftime walked off the court with a 14-21 lead.
In a low scoring game that was filled with turnovers by both teams, the Kofa Kings utilized a 13-4 third quarter run to put the game out of reach.
This handed the Wildcats their eight loss of the season with a 32-47 final.
“The problem tonight was not effort,” said Brawley head coach Jeffery Deyo after the game. “The defensive effort was exceptional, its just we could not score, we missed free throws, stuff inside, we missed layups, and we have got to solve that problem.”
Brawley now moves to 1-8 on the season and will look to get on the winning track when they host San Luis Friday night.
