Josefina Hilda Banaga
July 2, 1942 – August 12, 2014
Josefina Banaga was born in Mexicali, Mexico on July 2, 1942 and resided in Calexico when she passed away on August 12, 2014.
She graduate from Calexico High School, worked as a cashier for 45 years at JC Penney in Calexico, was a Godmother to many, many children. She will be best remembered by her smile, her ability to make people feel special, especially children
The Mass Service for Josefina will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2014 at Our Lady Guadalupe Church in Calexico at 8:00 a.m.
Visitation will be on Friday, August 22, 2014 at Our Lady Guadalupe Church in Calexico from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
The burial will be on Saturday, August 23, 2014 at Riverview Cemetery in Brawley after the Mass Service.
The Rosary will be on Friday, August 22, 2014 at Our Lady Guadalupe Church in Calexico at 7:00 p.m.
The survivors of Josefina include her brother, Sylvestre Banaga, numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
Josefina is preceded in death by her sisters, Ofelia Heredia, and Maria Leon, her brothers, Salvador Banaga, Arcangel Bandaga, Modesto, Banaga, and her parents, Matias and Dolores Banaga.
