Ballington Academy provides a unique learning environment and individualized instruction
EL CENTRO – Volunteers of America’s Ballington Academy, a free public charter school, is now enrolling students for the 2016-17 school year. School begins on August 22 and space is limited.
Ballington Academy takes a unique, hands-on approach to teaching Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math (STEAM), as well as important life skills, to build a foundation for future success. Parents looking for a progressive alternative to public school are encouraged to find out more.
Located at 1525 Main Street in El Centro, Ballington Academy is open to all California students and serves families that work or live in the El Centro, Holtville, Imperial, Brawley, Calexico and Heber.
Ballington Academy’s mission is to prepare children for success at the next level and into adulthood. Special programs available at the Academy include: a technology lab, Hybridge (a program that allows students to progress at an accelerated pace) and one-on-one after-school tutoring.
“At Ballington Academy, your child’s future is our job one,” said Doreen Mulz, School Superintendent. “We align our programs with Common Core Standards while providing teachers with the flexibility to adapt to meet each child’s needs.”
