IMPERIAL-Saturday, children, getting in the “spirit,” dressed up in Halloween costumes for the Imperial Halloween Carnival at Ben Hulse Elementary School.
The night was full of trick or treaters running from booth to booth, enjoying the night’s festivities. Small prizes could be won at booths, each set up by classrooms of Ben Hulse students.
The hula-hoop booth was a fan favorite, with contests on who was best.
Another popular booth was the Imperial High School’s football team selling large bags of kettle corn, made by actual players.
“I am having so much fun tonight! Every year we come out and dress up, we plan our costumes for Halloween just to show them off here at the carnival,” said Olivia Martinez about her experience at the Imperial Carnival.
