IMPERIAL – In September of 2008, UFC Middleweight Champion, Evan Tanner, went into the desert to have an adventure and to test himself – there he died.

Jeff Green, President of De Anza Search and Rescue, will be the speaker at Pioneer Museum’s lecture series this month. His presentation recounts the efforts of De Anza

Search and Rescue during the hunt for Evan Tanner.

The desert is a formidable place to be lost, even in this age of technology, which can pinpoint one’s location within 100 yards.

The museum is expecting a large crowd for this lecture, to insure a place, please RSVP no later than Thursday, April 24.

Doors open at 5: 45. Lecture begins at 6:45. The cost for the full evening is $8.00.

For more details, and to make reservations, call the museum at 1-760-352-3211.
