IMPERIAL – For the first time in a number of years, IVC’s Men’s basketball games will be heard on the radio airwaves. Starting with Pacific Coast Conference games, Arab Basketball will be broadcasted live on 95.3FM The Edge. The play-by-play broadcaster will be an IVC student, Matt Mandel.

IVCenters conference play fresh off a third-place finish in their Holiday Classic Tournament during the winter break and IVC has now won 3 of their last 4 games.

95.3FM The Edge is Imperial Valley’s newest radio station, playing hardcore rock music when not broadcasting local high school football games and now, Arab Basketball. Station Director Victor Nuno will be producing each of the broadcasts from the studios of 95.3FM, while Matt Mandel will be giving the live play-by-play broadcast at every IVC Basketball game this season both home and away. Mandel is a sophomore at IVC majoring in Social Science while also serving as the voice of the Arabs for Men’s Basketball.
