The 2012 program funding total of $3,074,891 is for fallowing years 2008-2009, 2009-2010 and 2010-2011.
Projects must mitigate the effects of negative socioeconomic impacts sustained by any persons or entities within the region (as a result of IID fallowing activity) and/or provide positive economic stimulus to a broad sector of persons or businesses within the region. Categories include: business development, workforce development and special projects.
Complete proposals must be hand-delivered to the Imperial Irrigation District’s water administration office at 333 E. Barioni Blvd., Imperial, Calif., by 5 p.m. on or before Aug. 30, 2013.
The IID Board of Directors, acting in the capacity as the Local Entity, is the ultimate authority concerning the making of grant awards under the program.
Workshops are scheduled for May 30, June 13, June 20 and July 18, from 10 a.m. to noon at the William R. Condit Auditorium, 1285 Broadway, El Centro. Grant proposal information on the 2012 program can be found on IID’s website at www.iid.com/localentity.
