IMPERIAL- On Friday, May 31, students from Imperial High School displayed their artwork at the  8th Annual Arts Festival in the center lawn area of the school.

Attention to detail was the order of the evening at the IHS Art Festival.  IHS art instructor, Janet Cowan, was able to teach her students how to apply finer creative points that take artwork from ordinary to special.

Displays included artistic mediums ranging from computer graphics to acrylic portraits, which were artistically displayed on studs and wire art walls throughout the IHS lawn area.

Students dressed as mannequins, posing besides backgrounds of famous paintings, to punctuate transitions from one medium to another at this unique venue.

Adding ambiance to the setting, the IHS band played, and the choir sang a few toe-tapping numbers.
