EL CENTRO – Imperial Valley Economic Development Corporation (IVEDC,) in collaboration with Caltrans District 11 and Imperial Valley Small Business Development Center, will be hosting a Procurement Fair on November 15, 2012 at the Barbara Worth Resort and Country Club from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm.
This event will host state and local agency representatives who will speak and educate the Imperial Valley business community on how to prepare themselves to pursue state and local contracting opportunities.
Business owners will be given information and resources to assist them in establishing much needed Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) certifications, bonding, insurance and more.
Purchasing and procurement contract opportunities will be available for onsite contract awards.
There will be informational seminars as well as the opportunity for local businesses, public agencies, and renewable energy project representatives to exhibit their business in the exhibit hall to either market their services or their contracting opportunities.
Sean Wilcock of the IVEDC said, “This will be a great networking event for all businesses large and small. Attendance and booth space to local business owners is free, so come out and learn how to do business with each other.”
