Imperial County Inmate Found Unresponsive And Later Pronounced Deceased



ImperialCountySheriffDeptEL CENTRO – An Imperial County inmate identified as 53-year old, Aaron Clyde Livas was found unresponsive on Wednesday, March 23, at approximately 1:00 P.M.  by a fellow inmate in a common area within the module where he was housed.

The inmate alerted Sheriff’s Office Corrections staff who provided immediate medical attention to Livas, who was then transported to El Centro Regional Medical Center via ambulance.

Aaron Clyde Livas was pronounced deceased at approximately 3:24 P.M. by El Centro Regional Medical Center emergency room personnel. Sheriff’s Office Investigators responded to the scene and an investigation was initiated.

The preliminary investigation indicates that Aaron Clyde Livas died of natural causes. The cause and manner of death is pending an investigation by the Imperial County Sheriff’s Coroner’s Office. The next of kin has been notified by the Coroner’s Office. An autopsy has been scheduled for today, March 24, in the afternoon hours.
