EL CENTRO – Imperial County departments led by Sheriff Raymond Loera, Chief Probation Officer Benny G. Benavidez, and Director of Behavioral Health Mr. Michael Horn in conjunction with Behavioral Interventions (BI) are partnering to provide rehabilitative efforts to Imperial Valley offenders sentenced under Prisoner Realignment.
Currently in operation, the Day Reporting Center (DRC) is located at 324 Applestill Road in El Centro, California and offers evidence based programming to those under community supervision and will soon be offering services to those incarcerated.
Through the Community Corrections Partnership, the Imperial County received funding to help staff and provide programs to offenders at the Day Reporting Center. Behavioral Interventions has been contracted to provide a multitude of services to help assist offenders succeed and reintegrate into the community. Some of the courses being offered include: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Anger Management, Moral Recognition Therapy, employment readiness, and parenting.
Sheriff Raymond Loera and Chief Benny G. Benavidez are proud to announce the Grand Opening and will hold a small ceremony on May 29, 2014 at 9:30 am at the Day Reporting Center to memorialize Imperial County’s commitment to prisoner realignment.
