BRAWLEY – The Imperial County Department of Behavioral Health Services is hosting an open house at its new Children and Adolescent Outpatient Services facility located at 195 S. Ninth St., Brawley. The event will be held from 10:00 a.m.- noon Tuesday May 31.
“A growing caseload of clients caused Behavioral Health to seek a facility larger than its previous Brawley location,†said agency Director Michael Horn. “It serves 480 children and their families and allows greater access for clients living in the northern sections of Imperial County.â€
“This is an important step in expanding our ability to serve the needs of our community. Our staff does an excellent job of delivering service and this move greatly assists them in maintaining high-quality care,†Horn said.
The outpatient facility provides medication support, therapy, rehabilitative services, intensive care-coordination and intensive home-based services to children and their families.
The new location adds 2,000 square feet of office space and includes a group room and additional office space for therapists, physicians and mental health rehabilitation technicians. The move was funded through Medi-Cal.
