EL CENTRO – The Imperial Valley Homeless Task Force (HTF), on the 30th of November, at 375 North 5th Street El Centro CA, from 9am.to 12pm will hold their annual “2012 Project Homeless Connect”.
The Imperial Valley Regional Task Force on Homelessness, requests your collaboration and support by way of donation for Project Homeless Connect.
The I.V.R.T.F.H. was originally formed by the City of El Centro as a community outreach component reaching to the homeless populations and later expanded to include all homeless individuals countywide.
The I.V.R.T.F.H. is composed of sixteen collaborative members from the business sector; city and county governments, school districts and non-profit entities aiming at providing a spectrum of services to the indigent in our communities .
Every year, the I.V.R.T.F.H. coordinates Project Homeless Connect reaching the homeless populations to render social, medical, housing, and other services and linkages to chronically homeless and destitute individuals to improve their mental, emotional, and spiritual health and personal well-being.
This year, we have scheduled Project Homeless Connect from 9:00a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on November 30, 2012 at the Salvation Army & Adams Park located at 375 N. 5th Street, El Centro, CA. With your generous support in this community effort, the Imperial Valley Task Force on Homelessness will contribute towards a generous breakfast, haircuts, transportation, blankets, gloves, scarf’s, warm beanie caps, warm jackets, and other miscellaneous items to help our homeless keep warm during these cold winter months.
In addition, the chronically homeless individuals will link to social support services, veteran’s benefits, medical assistance, housing, and other important linkages that will improve their quality of life in the communities that they live.
Your contribution is tax deductible. If you choose to make a monetary donation please make your check payable to WomanHaven, Inc. WomanHaven is a non-profit organization with a tax identification number that will be provided to you along with a receipt.
The main goal of the Project Homeless Connect is to connect people with services that may lead them to a pathway out of their homeless status.
