Holtville to have groundbreaking ceremony


Holtville logo(Holtville, CA) The City of Holtville will conduct a groundbreaking ceremony at 7:30 am on Wednesday June 19, 2013 for the Fifth Street and Grape Avenue Street Improvement project.


The objective of the project is to enhance pedestrian safety and provide for safe routes to schools by constructing missing sidewalks along Grape Avenue and Fifth Street which is also known as State Route 115. The project also includes intersection and drainage improvements along Fifth Street.


The anticipated project cost of the project is $ 486,302.


Construction is anticipated to run from June 17, 2013 through September 30, 2013.


The City is grateful to the participation project was funded through the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) and the Imperial County Transportation Commission.

The program was funded through several transportation grant programs including Surface Transportation Program-Local (STPL), Local Transportation Assistance (LTA) and the City of Holtville General Fund.


The project was designed by The Holt Group. Pyramid Construction will serve as the project contractor. Juny Marmolejo, PE from the Holt Group will serve as the Construction Manager.


Project sub-contractors include Archuleta Concrete, and Cal-Stripe.
