Updates from Walter Colace: Pastor of Christ Community Church
“Greetings! I recently had the opportunity to go on a short-term mission trip to Thailand with my son Cameron and seven other wonderful servants. It was a dream come true and an incredible and life- changing experience. We saw the Lord move in phenomenal ways as our team walked in simple obedience to the leadership of the Holy Spirit. I would like to share just a few of God’s marvelous works with you.”
“One of our priorities was to visit the Hannah House. This ministry exists to provide room and board for underprivileged girls who are attending college and Bible school. These girls are discipled in the ways of the Lord and taught the Word of God. I was so blessed as we worshiped together with the girls living there. God’s Spirit is certainly in this place. We witnessed His hand do some very special things, including saving two of the girls and another visitor at the end of one of our times of worship.
On one occasion the girls touched all of our hearts by sharing personal testimonies of what Jesus was doing in their lives. It was inspiring to hear these young women from Thailand sharing how God is teaching, guiding, leading, and encouraging them on a daily basis.”
“Another impacting time for me came when we were able to visit one of the prisons a couple of hours outside of Chang Mai. Our team was able to share the Gospel with inmates who were primarily Buddhists. Sangla, our translator, asked the inmates to stand up if they never heard the Gospel before and the majority stood up. We then led them in a few worship songs and my son and I tag-teamed preaching on the Prodigal Son out of Luke 15.”
“My heart was overflowing with the joy of the Lord as most of them made commitments to follow Jesus Christ. Some of them even wanted prayer for healing and we saw God heal a couple of them right on the spot. One man had a severe pain in his side for a couple of weeks and after anointing him with oil and praying for him the pain left. A similar thing happened to another man we prayed for. God definitely did some amazing things here.” -WC
We praise God for all He accomplished on this trip! As for us, many of you know we are going though a lot of changes in both getting married and moving to Thailand. Thank you all for making this possible for us, both through your prayers and your financial giving.
