BRAWLEY – The ARCO AMPM, the Perfect Car Wash, and Del Taco had their official grand opening Saturday.

Hundreds of people attended the event that featured music, food, vendors, $3.35 gasoline, and some San Diego Charger Cheerleaders.

Cars were lined up at all pumps with a tanker truck refilling the storage tanks while everyone roamed the area enjoying the celebration the day before Cinco de Mayo.

Local and state officials braved the mid-day heat to make their speeches on the opening of the multimillion dollar facility.

State Senator Ben Hueso, Assemblyman Manuel Perez, and Brawley Mayor Sam Couchman were some of the noted speakers.

The Chandi Group USA, Inc. President and CEO Nachhattar S. Chandi thanked the City of Brawley and the local community for its warm welcome and gave a moving testimony of how he came to this country from India with nothing and built a chain of businesses in the Imperial and Coachella Valleys.

Brawley continues to experience growth with new businesses locating in the business friendly community.

The Chandi businesses have been open for a few months, but this was the official ribbon cutting.
