Hard Work Pays off for Imperial High Students

IMPERIAL – Imperial High School held its 2014-2015 Academic Department Awards Night Tuesday, May 19.  The event honored students for exceptional accomplishments throughout the school year.

The master of the ceremonies, Victor Torres, DSS, along with Joe Apodaca, Principal, and David Shaw, Assistant Principal, opened the ceremony with a round of applause to students, teachers, parents, and more.  Frank Wright Elementary School hosted the standing-room only event; Staff and Faculty presented awards from different departments.

“Tonight, we would like to congratulate and honor our students for their outstanding achievements and success this school year,” a staff member said opening the evening.

Awards were presented for perfect attendance, and above average achievements in individual departments, including Agriculture, English, Physical Education, Foreign Language, Mathematics Science, Social Science, Visual and Performing Arts, and more.

Imperial High boasts a 97% attendance rate, ranking them number one in the Valley.

Imperial High welcomed new Superintendent, Bryan Thomason, during the ceremonies.
