First Annual EMS Golf Outing To Take Place Saturday

BRAWLEY - Emergency Medical Services (EMS) professionals are invited to come relax and be celebrated this Saturday, May 23, at 8 a.m. at Del Rio Country Club in Brawley.

Del Rio is hosting Imperial County’s first annual Golf Outing, put on by Danielle Walls of El Centro Regional Medical Center and her associates.

The golf outing features an 18-hole round of golf along with breakfast, lunch, raffles, goodie bags for all players, and a trophy for the winner.

This event takes place on the last day of National EMS Week, a week dedicated nationwide to thanking our first responders for their service.

Walls encourages all first responders and community members across the Valley to participate. “This is a time for (them) to get the recognition they deserve and the thank you that they don’t always get,” said Walls.

“This is a community event,” she said. “It’s a time to relax, enjoy the day, and get (your) mind off work.”

Cost to participate is $50, which is less than the regular charge for a round at Del Rio, Walls said.
