IMPERIAL — Snow flew through the chilly air at Saturday night’s Imperial Market Days third event, “Frozen Christmas,” in downtown Imperial to the delight of children and adults a like.
Market Days are held from October to April and events where the community can come together for a night of family fun and community mingling. Artisans and farmers have their goods on display for sale and activities were running such as face painting and character interaction during the night. Tacos, pizza, and even draft beer was sold at the event.
Santa Claus even made an appearance on his sleigh for pictures with the children. Snow was brought in for the children to sled on and battle in a full blown snowball fight in the street.
“It’s a great event to bring people together and having a safe place for family fun,” said Monica Minor, who brought her daughter to play with the snow for the first time.
“You can see it brings the whole community out,” said Imperial Chamber of Commerce board member Lori Marrs, “It’s a good family fun time.”
The Imperial Chamber of Commerce will also be kicking off their Christmas in a Small Town week with their Jingle and Mingle Christmas Open House on Thursday at 5pm to 8pm.
