El Centro Seeks Mardi Gras King and Queen Nominations

The City of El Centro annually solicits public nominations for the King and Queen. They are seeking one prominent male and female within the community. The King and Queen will host the City of El Centro’s Mardi Gras King and Queen Coronation reception on January 26th 2017. They will also participate in interviews with various media entities to promote the Mardi Gras Light Parade and Street Festival and ride on the last float in the Mardi Gras Parade on February 18th, 2017. Nominations are due by 5:00 pm December 20th, to the El Centro Community Center, 375 South 1st Street in El Centro.
