EL CENTRO — On Wednesday, May 20, at 3:38 a.m., officers responded to 525 North LaBrucherie after the clerk called to report he had been robbed at gun point. Officers arrived on scene and met with the clerk who said a Hispanic male adult entered the store just prior to closing and pointed a black handgun at him.

The clerk stated the suspect was very aggressive and demanded money and lottery tickets. The clerk was then forced to the back of the store where he was told to remain. The suspect returned to the front of the store and took several other items before leaving through the front doors. The clerk waited ten minutes and then called the police department.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, approximately mid‐20’s to mid‐30’s years old, with a dark complexion and a goatee. He was wearing an LA Dodgers baseball cap, a light colored polo shirt with stripes and black pants.

The El Centro Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying the suspect in this robbery. The suspect is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached or confronted. Anyone with information should contact Detective Omar Mandujano at (760) 336‐8982. Callers may remain anonymous.
