Dora Alba Estrada

Dora Estrada was born on May 14, 1928 in Aguascalientes, Mexico and resided in Brawley when she passed away on February 24, 2016.
She graduated from Brawley Union High School in 1947 and briefly attended junior college. During the late 40’s she competed for and was crowned queen of the then Virgen de Guadalupe Celebration at St. Margaret Mary Church in Brawley.
She was married to Lupe Estrada for 47 years with whom she raised 4 children. They were married on November 11, 1951 in El Centro.Â She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother, raising her family with the highest ideals.
She was a very loving and supportive mother, who stressed the importance of education to her children and grandchildren of whom she was very proud.
The Mass Service for Dora will be held on Friday, March 4, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 10:30 a.m. and will be officiated by Father Lara.
The Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at Frye Chapel and Mortuary from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
The Burial will be held on Friday, March 4, 2016 at Riverview Cemetery after the Mass Service.
The Rosary will be held on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at Frye Chapel and Mortuary at 7:00 p.m.
Dora is preceded in death by her husband, Lupe T. Estrada and her daughter, Myra Patricia.
Dora is survived by her daughter, Dorene Villegas or Riverside, her sons, Carl Estrada of Brawley, Jerry and Carmen Estrada of Brawley, Joe and Grace Estrada of Moreno Valley, her brothers, Henry Alba of Brawley and Tino â€œGusâ€ Alba of Sun City, Ca. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
