BRAWLEY – Brawley Union High School (BUHS) held a re-signing ceremony for Senior Dovavin Buck Thursday in the new gym.
Buck, 17, re-signed his Letter of Intent to attend San Diego State University for the fall of 2014 and to play football.
BUHS Athletic Director Billy Brewer said, “We’re proud of Donavin, his contributions at BUHS, and the hard work and dedication that went into the last four years. He was up at the Hall of Champions Wednesday in San Diego and signed his Letter of Intent in front of his future classmates and teammates at San Diego State University. That was a great honor.”
“Today is the culmination of four years of hard work, sweat, blood, practice, and all the effort that was put in by Donavin,” said BUHS Head Football Coach Jon Self. “I want to thank you for the effort, the dedication, and the leadership that you brought to the program every year. Thank you!”
Lowell Buck, Donavin’s father said, “Donavin was recruited in his junior year by Brian Sipe, which was early. They really wanted him. It’s exciting.”
“I’d like to thank my parents for everything they’ve done for me,” said Buck. “I also want to thank Coach Self and the whole team. You can’t do it without a team. I’d like to thank Justin Hannon and Nationwide Recruits and to everyone, thank you.”
