BRAWLEY – This Saturday, December 1, is the 3rd race of the season for the Desert Valley Barrel Race Association.  The races will be held at the Cattle Call Arena in Brawley.  The time has been changed to “time onlys” at 12:30 p.m.  and the Open at 2:00 p.m.

The Desert Valley Barrel Racing Association (DVBRA), established in 1992, is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the sport of barrel racing and pole bending for contestants of all ages and all levels of competition. DVBRA strives to provide a family friendly organization with the opportunity for competitors to improve their riding skills, develop a spirit of fair competition and appreciation of good sportsmanship and the chance to win prize money and awards. The events will feature DVBRA Progressive Classes in Barrels and Poles, 3 D Open Barrel Race and an Open Pole Class. Time only will be run prior to the start of competition.

DVBRA Members and Non-Members may enter the Progressive Barrels and Poles but only DVBRA members will accumulate points during the season toward year-end awards. Open 3 D Barrels and Open Poles are open to both Members and Non-members.

The 2012-2013season began October 13 and will end May, 2013 with one event scheduled each month. All events will be held at Cattle Call Arena in Brawley, California.

DVBRA is an all volunteer organization relying on contestants and their families, friends and others to help at the events. So please give some of your time during the season to help with gates, arena set-up, arena prep, entry desk, clean-up or any other chores that will help the events run smoothly. DVBRA appreciates those who have helped make the association successful over the years!!
