Debate Tonight for IID candidates

The QSA and its effects on the Salton Sea are guaranteed to be hot topics for the IID candidates

 All Imperial Irrigation District candidates on the November 6th ballot have been invited.

 There are two run-off races and the Division 5 race to fill the vacancy left by Anthony Sanchez.

The Division two run-off features incumbent John Pierre Menvielle and challenger Bruce Kuhn.

The Division 4 run-off features incumbent Stella Mendoza and challenger Steve Benson.

The Candidates in the race for Division 5 include: James William Horn, Jr., Pompeyo Tabarez, Eduardo Valdez-Belmonte, Norma Sierra Galindo, Rodolfo Rudy Maldonado, and Wally Leimgruber.

The local Farm Bureau, Vegetable Growers and COLAB are sponsoring the Debate.

It will be held at Farm Credit Services, 485 Business Park Way in Imperial, from 5:30 to 8:00 pm Thursday.

A panel will pose questions and topics, and questions will be taken from the floor.

  1. Rope a dope tonight everybody! Vote only for IID CANDIDATES WHO PUBLICLY ADVOCATE AND WILL IMPLEMENT THE ENHANCEMENT AND ENFORCEMENT OF IID’S GOVERNANCE POLICY. THOSE CANDIDATES THAT DO WILL PLACE THE INTERESTS OF THE IID RATEPAYERS BEFORE THEIR OWN PERSONAL & POLITICAL BENEFIT AND BEFORE THE BENEFIT OF SPECIAL INTERESTS.
