Christian Conference Lifts up Valley Women

WOVENEL CENTRO — WOVEN (Women of Virtue Empowerment Network) held their Christian Women’s Conference Saturday at Christ Community Church featuring six local women as speakers, whom they referred to as Jewels of the Desert with over 200 women attending.

Co-directors Stacie Chandler and Betty Predmore chose the theme, “His Grace Thorough Our Imperfections” which the speakers used as starting points on their  individual paths of their presentations.

“We’ve outgrown our first locations,” Chandler said. “We are so grateful that Christ Community allowed us to use their beautiful facilities and all the technology that comes with it. We also are so blessed to have their worship team as part of the conference.”

Gifts of necklaces and bracelets, sponsored by the speakers and KGBA, were given to the attendees throughout the conference by raffle. The croissant chicken salad lunch was also sponsored allowing each guest to have the day in worship, prayer, fellowship, and speakers without costing them financially.

“This was a wonderful day, filled with love, tears, laughter, and God,” said Barbara Pricola, Brawley. “I am so blessed to be here.”

The Valley speakers chosen were Nicole Espino, Debbie Sempsrot, Betty Predmore, Stacie Chandler, Cathy Coronado and Becky Hanks. Some brought comedy routines while others kept you spell bound listening to incredible tales of hardship, endurance, and faithfulness.

Worship music was provided by Christ Community Church.

  1. Thank you WOVEN for all you do for women and families here in the Valley. You are a great blessing and may God continue to bless your ministry and expand your territory! Once again I did not put on a wig and dress and sneak into the conference…but I thought about it!!
