2011 Cattle Call Concert

BRAWLEY – North County Coalition for the Arts proudly presents the Cattle Concert 2012, featuring the Imperial Valley Master Chorale  on Sunday October 28 at 4:00 PM in the Sacred Heart Parish Hall on 421 Imperial Avenue in Brawley.

Co-sponsored by The Imperial Valley Choral Society and Imperial Valley College, this polished chorus of local singers will pay tribute to the American west by providing a fun filled program of country songs, gospel hymns, Blue Grass instrumentals, a cow roping exhibition, a square dance group and a variety of vocal solos, duets and ensembles featuring special local talent.

Enhancing the atmosphere of light-hearted, foot-tapping music will be a display of colorful and intricate works of art by the Handmade Quilt Show presented by the Sacred ‘Sew’ers.

Special performances will be presented by:  Mike & Jody Cox as they invite the audience to ride the “Happy Trails”; Luke Hamby as he accompanies the Chorale with his violin; Noteworthy; and Megan Strahm and Luke Hamby as they entertain the audience with songs from “Annie Get Your Gun”; The Blue Grass Rangers, well known for their instrumental agility; Dancers on the Square with Julie Gaddis & Company , who will make you want to stand up and dance in the aisles; and a spectacular roping exhibition presented by Julie Reeves & Company.

Tickets of $10.00 per person (K-12 free) are available from Chorale members, the Brawley Chamber of Commerce,  or at the door.
