BRAWLEY – Brawley Union High School has been selected as one of 22 schools in the State of California to be recognized for its exemplary programs in civics education. This award recognizes successful efforts to engage public high school students in civic learning and spotlights models of practice for other schools. The winners were selected by an expert panel, based on the depth and breadth of their civic learning courses or programs.
On Monday, April 15, Honorable Judith McConnell, Administrative Presiding Justice and Honorable Gilbert Nares, Associate Justice of District One, Fourth District Court of Appeal will visit Brawley Union High School to present the Civic Learning Award of Distinction to Brawley Union High School teacher Mr. Jose Flores and his students.
