Bryce Presley Wins Senior Large Animal Round Robin

IMPERIAL – Bryce Presley of Brawley, CA had quite the phenomenal year. He placed 1st in both Grange and FFA Senior Small Animal Round Robin, and wrapped up the week by winning first place in Senior Large Animal Round Robin Thursday night.

Presley is currently a senior at BUHS and plans on attending Kansas State University to pursue a degree in animal science.

Seth Hilfiker was the 4-H Junior winner of Large Animal Round Robin.

Large Animal Round Robin consists of showing 8 different livestock as well as being fully knowledgeable about their anatomy and physiology. An example of questions asked last night was “What is endotoxemia in goats?” and “What is mastitis and how does it effect a cow’s milk?”

Alexandra Baran of M&M 4-H placed second overall after winning Senior Showmanship with her horse. Baran is a junior at BUHS and plans on competing next year with her pig.

Competing in Round Robin for any animals requires intense studying and dedication. Ten points are awarded for each animal shown—five points for knowledge and five points for showmanship.
