BRAWLEY — The patio grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony for Brownie’s Diner took place Monday afternoon with a large and boisterous crowd in attendance.
“We’re usually really busy,” explained Juanita Rebollar, owner of Brownie’s Diner. “We’ve had people that had to wait before and now that we have our expansion, people don’t have to wait to come in now. It’s also a banquet facility for anyone who wants to have a party or a function here, we’re open for it. It’s for us and for the community also.”
Members of the Brawley Chamber of Commerce and other guest speakers gathered around the entrance of the newly formed patio for the ribbon cutting ceremony. The patio is directly connected to the restaurant and features it’s own entrance and restroom for guests to use. Once the red ribbon was cut, guests were welcome to enjoy appetizers in the new patio and live acoustic music from guest musicians.
“Hopefully we’re going to get busier,” said Rebollar. “We have great customers and we’re always busy. It’ll just help us out to give a little more back to the community and just so that our customers don’t have to wait to come in when we’re really busy”.[envira-gallery id=”77971″]
