Brenda Annette Bellamy

November 20, 1949 – September 6, 2014

Brenda Annette Bellamy was born to Feado and Dora Pegues on November 20, 1949 in Brawley, California. An ordinary woman who accomplished extraordinary things, Brenda grew up in Brawley, California where she attended Miguel Hidalgo Elementary School, Barbara Worth Junior High School and graduated from Brawley Union High School in the class of 1969.

After Brenda became a housewife and mother, she began her working career at Oakley Elementary School as a teacher’s aide, her next assignment was at the USDA Cotton Division. She then moved on to JC Penney’s as the Catalog Department Supervisor, she ended her working career at El Centro Union High School, where she medically retired in 2011.

Brenda had a creative and artistic side, which included her great love for art and design. She was a gifted quilter, interior decorator, artist and landscaper. Brenda’s home was always a beautiful work in progress. The most intriguing thing about Brenda was her great love for family, and friends. She spent hours daily communicating with her loved ones. With each call she brought joy and laughter to many, and with her caring heart, peace to every life she touched. Brenda married her husband Ralph Bellamy on April 7, 1980, from this union they were blessed with a son, Rashad Ralph Bellamy.
